Living Heritage Reserves has been established adjacent to villages where the original culture of the Koslanda area is still plainly visible. The current worldwide interest in indigenous medicine has led to the abuse of traditional methods and systems. The Living Heritage Reserve is a seat that attracts gurus and teachers from the four quarters of Lanka who see the need for a peaceful and inspiring setting in which to commune with their disciples and students.

We offer a way out of the maddening rat race -- a retreat to nature and a traditional lifestyle. Our guests and gurus enjoy the opportunity to harmonize with nature, supplemented by multi-tiered programs based on traditional therapies. What we offer is, in effect, serendipity. We offer our visitors peace, tranquillity, any treatments they may wish to enjoy as prescribed for their individual psyche, and the chance to live ordinary life in an extraordinary way.

The Reserves will only carry out individualized therapeutic programs prescribed in strict conformity to traditional practice. Those who visit us in search of wisdom and spiritual contentment will spend time with our guides, the wise men and women of the east, 'the gurus of our culture', and learn more about villages where the traditional ways of life still hold true.

Within the Reserves one may consult with Sri Lanka's leading practitioners and patrons of native medicine and wisdom. We are creating oases for the weary, and we offer not only a seat of relaxation and sybaritic rejuvenation of the body, but we also open the door for our guest to experience, if they will, a range of exotic festivals, excursions and ceremonies that are both sacred and secret.
